Infrastructure and Facilities
The journey of Lokepara Mahavidyalaya from the sheltered rooms of Lokepara High School to its own infrastructure and facilities is a manifestation
of hard work, vision and team work. Since 2010 Lokepara Mahavidyalaya is relentlessly working to upgrade itself in order to offer quality education to the students
of rural Birbhum.Now it provides the following infrastructural and learning resources:
- Total area in the college 183.236 sq. ft., including 25168.92 sq. ft. built up area. Most of the rest is green belt except for the building.
- The college has eleven classrooms, including an ICT enabled classroom, a multipurpose seminar hall and one room for NSS. A separate room is allotted to the alumni
of Lokepara Mahavidyalaya.
- The college has a playground. There is also a green belt adjacent to the ground. Just as outdoor sports aredone in the playground; indoor sports are also arranged
in the college.
- Principal has a separate chamber with desktop, laptop, printer facility and washroom facility. There is anattached bathroom in teachers' room with a desktop. There
is a separate room for IQAC with a printer cumscanner, desktop and laptop. There are separate rooms for non-teaching staffs with desktops, printer, xerox machine
and a common washroom.
- The college has a museum named Dr. Nabakishore Hazra Memorial Museum which hosts events like International Museum Day, lectures etc.
- The college has a gymnasium and Yoga centre catering to the physical & mental health of students.
- The college provides one free wi-fi zone and one desktop to students for surfing. All the teaching and non- teaching staffs enjoy the facility of wi-fi connectivity
for their respective purpose. Seminar Hall, ICT enabled room, Library- all are internet supported.
- The college has a library with reading facilities and computer facilities for students and teachers. The library was digitalised in 2024by installing KOHA software.
Various prestigious magazines are available in the library. Students canalso access the online British Council Digital Library here. The library facilities are also
made available to the aspiring students beyond college enrolment (they can use the reading room of library but cannot take books/ magazines to home) as a gesture of
extending support to the locality.
- Two aquaguards and a cold-water storage purified machine have been arranged in the college so thateveryone gets clean drinking water.
- There are four toilets for female students and four for male students. Specialised and accessible toilet is also provided for the physically challenged students.
- The is one girl's common room and one boy's common room in the college.
- The college has one vending machine for providing sanitary napkin to girl students.
- Inverters have been arranged for continuity of electric supply in the college.
- Ramp facility is available for physically challenged students.
- The college has a garden of medicinal plants maintained by the students of each department.
